BOB On The Rocks
Backstory:
I am a big fan of the Bottom of the Barrel podcast. I created this recipe with the hosts, Wes Barker and Chris Ramsay, flavor profiles in mind. I did a bit of sleuthing behind the scenes and got some info on their preferences.
Ingredients:
1.5 oz mezcal of your choice, I am using Del Maguey Vida (super smokey)
0.5 oz Grand Marnier
0.5 oz Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple syrup (regular if you can't find aged)
1 oz lime juice
Ice
Ingredients, Garnish:
1 giant ice cube
1 lime wedge
1 luxardo cherry
1 toothpick or tiny plastic sword
Method:
Into an empty glass or shaker add the mezcal, Grand Marnier, maple syrup, and lime juice. Add ice to the level of the liquid.
Stir until fully chilled, the outside of the container will feel cold.
Place a single giant ice cube into a rocks glass. Strain the chilled liquid over the cube and serve.
